Muse

So I have listened to Muse's new album "The Resistance". I did a while ago actually when =Mrshinyredplanet mentioned that it was an awesome album and I got around to listening to it. It was great, much better than Black Holes and Revelations, I really like that they're bringing something that closely resembles modern classical to a wider audience; It's a really overlooked genre if you ask me.

The GIMP

As I speculated in my last journal, the GIMP 2.8.0 will indeed have a single window interface.

Inkscape

0.47 was released today! It has a number of new features like some new changes that make scaling a lot more logical. Last and definitely not least...

Blender 3D

Yesterday, version 2.5.0 alpha 0 was released. Yes, it's alpha, so it's not exactly stable, but it's stable enough to use to test out the new features. Why am I telling you about this? Most people that +watch me (Actually, all of them that have tried Blender) have been scared off already by the interface. That's the biggest change in 2.5.0; The interface has been completely rewritten. And so it went from a definitely useful program with a scary interface to a program with all kinds of new features like smoke simulation with a really awesome interface. I think you'll like it.
